I, too, was chewing on the lush fields of ancient wisdom, seeking enlightenment in the everyday.

In 2014, I finally kicked off my shoes, launched this site, and began serving up some metaphysical snacks. Word got out and before I knew it, DreamWorks Animation came calling, intrigued by some of my offerings and hired The Unholy Cow as a consultant for their animation studio.

Since then, I never looked back and now The Unholy Cow is like a spiritual sherpa for me and anyone else meandering our way through existential fields and chewing on the cud of age-old Vedantic nourishment. All of us, it turns out, are peering through the same maze of blurry and spotted infinity mirrors, mistaking the reflections for our reality. The spiritual fix isn’t to change ourselves in some dramatic way. Nope! It’s far easier: our mirror just needs a little cleaning, that’s all.

Consider The Unholy Cow as your metaphysical cleaning cloth to scrub away at your dusty mirror, helping you see beyond the superficial reflections of daily life and recognize the unchanging, luminous, ever-holy cow that lies beneath the cosmic prankster.

In the spirit of our unholy mascot – whose spots are a patchwork of mythology, metaphor, mathematics, history, language, science and astronomy – who playfully flicks away the dust of dogma with its tail, and pokes at the soft underbelly of complacency with its horns – this site encourages you to use Knowledge as a cleaning agent to question, explore, disinfect, and ultimately clear away the grime that obscures our lens. Each piece here a cheeky reminder and note to self: “Don’t believe everything you think.”

So, step into the pasture of enlightenment with The Unholy Cow, where we blend ancient Indian and Vedantic wisdom with a touch of irreverence to help you reveal the shining truth within. The more you engage, the clearer your reflection will become, guiding you to the ultimate realization that your true self has always been right here, waiting to be seen.

Get ready for a journey through the mystical and the mundane. Holy cows are optional; curiosity and an open mind are essential.
